The US has no plans to increase the number of entry applications issued to immigrants through the CBP One app

The US Consul General in Tijuana, Tom Reott, said:

“So far the figure of 200 passes has been reached, we are not going to increase it. This is based on the law, this is something that comes directly from Washington. We are focused on making sure that the application works well,” stressed the United States representative.

Tom Reott also commented on the constant complaints of asylum seekers about the poor functioning of the application. According to the consul, the problem is due to the high number of simultaneous requests and the resulting low internet speed. The US mission is looking for ways to boost the signal in the shelters where most of the immigrants are staying.

Since the launch of CBP One, users have constantly complained about glitches and flaws in the app. The problem is already being discussed at the legislative level in the US, but so far no tangible changes for the better have occurred.
